This kitchen project represents the pinnacle of modern design, blending classic authenticity with inviting finishes and softened by familiar forms and proportions.

Designed by Georgine Jeffries and meticulously crafted by the joiners at InDetail, the project consistently upholds its motifs of simplicity, minimalism, and light colors throughout the space. The joiners at Indetail are based in Melbourne and specialise in the manufacture of bespoke joinery for a range of multi-residential, designer homes, retail premises, hospitality venues and much more. Forming a link between design, planning, project management, construction and manufacturing to ensure quality outcomes for esteemed clients.

Exploring the Plant Street kitchen, your eyes are immediately drawn to the long island benchtop that spans most of the space. The materials used throughout the room create a cohesive motif: natural oak veneer forming a strip line below the island benchtop, a white 2-pac finish, and terrazzo slabs with colored rocks as the island’s tabletop, adding the final touch. All three elements come together beautifully with the island.

On the other side of the island, you’ll find a haven of AvanTech YOU drawers, perfect for functional storage while maintaining the kitchen’s minimalist aesthetic. These drawers blend seamlessly with the island’s white tones. The rectangular handles, a recurring motif in the kitchen’s cabinetry, stand out. As you pull the drawer, you’ll appreciate its silky smooth, effortless glide, with no hint of resistance. The Quadro runner operates with near-silent acoustics, adding a touch of effortless luxury to your interaction with the furniture. Inside, anthracite-coloured drawer inserts enhance organisation, embodying sophistication and organisation at its finest.

A touch of elegance

Refined elegance accentuated by lighting

Rows of the AvanTech YOU luxury drawer system extend beneath the sinktop, situated close to the island. The terrazzo stone sinktop matches the island benchtop and seamlessly transitions into the splashback. Rectangular-oval shaped black plug sockets and switches are set into the splashback.
Above, the American oak overhead cupboards feature intricate detailing and integrated strip lighting beneath the doors. This warm lighting complements the wall-mounted lamps on the left side of the cabinets, creating a cozy ambiance and providing accent lighting for an added touch of elegance.
